VERY IMPORTANT
- Full payment for class as well as proof of all required vaccinations must be provided prior to the first day of class.

- All dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella.

- All participants must be present for the first session of this class.

ABOUT OUR TRAINER

All classes are taught by Nationally Certified, Professional Dog Trainer, Lisa Matthews. Lisa has been teaching students of all ages for over a decade. Her love for animals and a very special dog propelled her into the world of dog training in early 2009. A college background in learning theory combined with training at Canine Country Academy and a year-long internship at Camp Canine USA allowed Lisa the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to open her own pet dog training company, Pawsitive Practice. Lisa specializes in teaching owners to read their dogs' body language, make critical environmental observations, and use positive reinforcement techniques to influence canine behavior, while deepening the animal/human bond.

DAY SCHOOL

That's right! You asked for it, and we delivered it. Your dog can now work one-on-one with a Nationally Certified, Professional Dog Trainer while here for daycare!

Day School package includes:
- 4, 1 hour dog + trainer private sessions at The Barker Lounge

- 2 transfer sessions (dog + trainer + you) at our facility or in the privacy of your own home (if you live within a 10 mile radius of us)

- The cost of this package is $350.00 in addition to our regular daycare fee.

To get started, complete the online training registration. Lisa will call you within 24 hours to introduce herself, clarify your goals, set up your dog’s training sessions, and schedule your transfer session.

In Lisa’s experience, issues generally fall into the following categories. We have designed packages to fit those categories, or we can customize a package to fit your specific needs.

PACKAGE CHOICES:

1. Basic Manners Package: Dogs will practice basic skills such as sit, down, stay, place, leave it, and wait.

2. Loose Leash Walking Package: Dogs will practice walking nicely on a loose leash and politely greeting other people.

3. Impulse Control Package: Dogs will practice keeping their paws on the ground when greeting, dropping and leaving tempting items alone when requested, and relaxing in an down-stay until released.

4. Recall Package: Dogs will practice coming when called in a variety of contexts and with increasing distractions.

GROUP CLASSES
Meet Once A Week For Five Weeks
60 minutes long
Cost $150.00 (unless otherwise noted)

REQUIREMENTS
- A treat bag that attaches to you
- A flat, buckle, quick-release collar, or a front clip harness
- 6-foot, non-retractable leash
- A variety of soft, yummy treats
- A mat for your dog to relax upon
- A 20-foot or longer, training long line








MANNERS 101

(Dogs 6 Months and Older)
Saturdays, May 12th – June 9th; 1:00PM

Non-aggressive teenage dogs - mature adult dogs will gain foundation skills for focus/attention, sit, down, stay, come, wait, leave it, and loose leash walking. In addition, training games will be utilized to help advance the skills of focus/attention, impulse control, and appropriate dog-dog and dog-human interactions. Common teenage behavioral issues are also addressed.

MANNERS 102

(Dogs 6 months or older who have completed a basic obedience)
Saturdays, June 2nd – June 30th; 2:30PM

Non-aggressive teenage dogs - mature adult dogs will advance their skills for focus/attention, sit, down, stay, come, wait, leave it, and loose leash walking. In addition, training games will be utilized to help advance handling skills, focus/attention, impulse control, and appropriate dog-dog and dog-human interactions.

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN

(Dogs 6 months or older who have completed basic obedience)
Saturdays, June 2nd – July 14th; 4:00PM
6 mandatory class sessions and test on week 7
Cost is $200

Interested in your dog being a Therapy Dog? Great! Passing the CGC test is step 1.

Non-aggressive teenage dogs - mature adult dogs will advance their skills for focus/attention, sit, down, stay, come, wait, leave it, and loose leash walking. In addition, training games will be utilized to help advance handling skills, focus/attention, impulse control, and appropriate interactions needed to pass all 10 sections of the Canine Good Citizen Test.

DYNAMITE DOGS

Wednesdays, May 9th - June 6th; 7:30PM Cost is $250

If your dog barks and lunges at other dogs due to fear and aggression related problems or barrier/leash frustration issues, this class is for you! We understand the embarrassment and frustration you are feeling, and we can help you today. One home visit is included. Extra charges apply if outside our service area.

"IN-HOME" PRIVATE INSTRUCTION WITH LISA

Lisa is available, by appointment only, for Private "In-Home" Instruction. During this private instruction, Lisa can help you and your family to address whatever needs you and your pooch may have that need to be addressed on a personal level. Schedule and cost is determined based on your needs.
